China has applied the Hague Convention since November 2023, so most documents no longer go to the embassy and an apostille is enough. Chinese is increasingly requested in Serbia because of Chinese investment in Smederevo, Bor, Zrenjanin and other cities.

Apostille or legalisation
The countries where Chinese is mainly used apply the Hague Convention, so Serbian documents need only an apostille, followed by a certified translation.
